The Waters Point, nestled on the banks of the Blanco River in the quaint town of Wimberly Texas was the perfect place for Meagan and Tony to celebrate their day. The scenery was stunning, the food was delicious and the details, all carefully curated by the bride herself , made this day incredible!
In Nepal, one of life's earliest rights of passage, the transition from liquid to solid food is marked by a traditional ceremony called Pasni. For girls, when they reach five months old, the family gathers with their closest relatives and celebrate as she is fed her first bite of rice. I was honored to be invited to document this traditional ceremony and witness such a beautiful event full of love, joy and respect for an ancient tradition.
Last month, I had the opportunity to witness the nuptials of a couple deeply in love, who found each other later on in life. I was second shooting for the amazing Maggie Yurachek from Maggie Yuracheck Photography . To shoot along side someone with her skill and talent was just as amazing as witnessing the union of these two beautiful souls.
This beautiful family welcomed their little boy, Hawkins just a few weeks back! One of my favorite parts about my job is that I get to document families as they make the transition to parenthood. There’s a magic there, in those first few weeks, that it so important to capture and look back on. Here are some highlights from the session!
Three years ago, this beautiful family moved from Holland to the United States and fell in love. They welcomed a sweet baby last summer, completing their family of six. In a few weeks they’ll be taking off for a new adventure to India and they wanted to celebrate their time here in the States with a Day in the Life Session. I am so honored to have had the opportunity to spend the day with them and document the love and laughter that fills their home. I wish them well on their journey but am hoping that they’ll return sooner rather than later! If not, I may just have to pack my bags and visit them in India!
No one would suspect that on a dark stormy afternoon, in a house on a quiet road, something so stunningly beautiful was taking place. It was an honor and a privilege to witness and document the home water birth of baby Oscar. Surrounded by her loving husband, daughter, two sisters, mother-in-law, and her incredible birth team from Midwifery care Associates , this beautiful mama handled labor with humor and grace. Their beautiful baby boy was born in the water, into his fathers arms. I am so excited to share with you these photos.
After my son was born last November, I took some much needed time off from shooting. I’m been on baby island for the better part of a year and just started taking sessions again a few months ago. This was one of my first sessions back with newborns and oh how it made my heart sing. Those first few months of life are oh so magical and when this family asked me to come capture a glimpse of this time together, I couldn’t resist! I’m pretty confident that my family of 5 is complete, but i’d be lying if I said being around these sweet little babies didn’t make me contemplate having another!
The way sweet Lilly pretty much put her whole face in the cake, the look on Lexi’s face when her mom gave the go ahead to lick the rest of the frosting, the glob of chocolate that painted Lilly’s nose and the laughter that ensued…how lucky am I , to have been able to capture it all?
These two sisters, so different from one another, are the best of friends and I’m so happy to have been able to document the love and laughter that fills their home.
What an honor is was to document the wedding of these two beautiful souls! When Megan first approached me about documenting her wedding and explained to me that her husband is a Marine who is often deployed serving our country, I instantly knew that I wanted nothing more that be able to photograph their special day for them.
Thanks to my fabulous second shooter Olga Belinskiy of Olga Belinskiy Photography for being my right hand woman all day and capturing some beautiful moments! And many thanks to Middlebush Reformed Church who were so welcome and accommodating as well as Elizabeth Ave Fire company in Franklin Township who hosted a gorgeous reception!
Congratulations Megan and José! I wish you many beautiful years to come!
From the moment I saw this family, I knew this session was going to be magical! They simply radiate beauty inside and out! The hardest part about this session was saying good-bye , I wanted to photograph them all day long!
There’s nothing that makes me happier than capturing a normal Day in the Life of a family. Im in awe of the beauty that lies amid the chaos of the ordinary. Spending the day with this beautiful family was a real treat!
This sweet family was a delight to spend the morning with! Dad surprised mom with this photo session for his beautiful wife! When I asked him the reason for this session he replied, “This is meant to be a special gift to my darling wife, as a reminder of how wonderful our life is and what we both work so hard for every day.” The love in their home is evident and it was honor to witness and document their joy for a few hours!
The Belinskiy family was so much fun to photograph! There was so much laughter during this session that I felt legitimately sad when it was over.
When Tova asked me to document a Day in the Life of her family, I was elated! What a special opportunity to be invited to photograph a Day in the Life Session for a photographer whose work I greatly admire. Seriously, she’s amazing. Check out her work here . She’ll be photographing my family in the fall and I can’t wait!
I had a wonderful time with Tova, her husband Josh and her VERY FAST, rediculously adorable son, Mickey. Here are few favorite shots from the day.
The marking of one year of life is a magical time. I was so happy to be invited to document this celebration of sweet little Zara’s first birthday party. This little lady is so lucky to be surrounded by so many people who love her so!
The people at Rasoii III in South Brunswick Township New Jersey have a great space, served delicious food and hosted an incredible party!
A few weeks back I had the pleasure of documenting this little lady’s entry into the world and, so naturally, I was ecstatic when this family invited me to come back and photograph a mommy and me session a few weeks later! So alert and full of personality, It’s hard to believe she is only 3 weeks old! Here are a few favorites from the session!
It was a gloomy, rainy day out on Saturday but that did not stop this couple from braving the weather and making some gorgeous engagement photos. Colonial Park is one of my favorite places to photograph engagement sessions as it looks equally beautiful on a sun filled day as it does with a sky full of clouds. The love between these two is strong and I'm sure that they are in for a beautiful life together!
